Yoga is about growth in a non-judgmental, compassionate and understanding environment. It's soft, gentle and forgiving. It's about working with yourself instead of against yourself; being challenged without being overwhelmed. It's not about changing or fixing who you are. It's about uncovering and rediscovering the best possible version of you.
It's about letting go of negative traits, habits as well as false and harmful beliefs.
Yoga is not a short cut or magic pill to getting fit. Nor is it a one-size fits all approach to wellness. Yoga bends to fit where you are right now and helps you get to where you want to be in the most patient way possible.
Yoga gives you the space and time to expand and grow.
As I tell my students, learn to regard yourself the way you would relate to a newborn, with endless love and patience (as opposed to how you'd feel towards a misbehaving teenager!)
